We (Brandon and Kristi) are college sweethearts. Our relationship began and blossomed under the stars via late night talks on the softball bleachers at Anderson University. In our junior year of college, we flew to Guatemala on a mission trip together and there grew to understand and love orphan care while serving in an orphanage. Brandon proposed a year later and we were married in 2007. Brandon is now a pastor at Midtown Fellowship. Kristi is a therapist in Columbia.

The Lord continued to place orphan care on our hearts. After graduating from grad school, we started praying about starting our family. In 2012, we heard a “GO!” from the Lord and started the process of prayer, fasting, researching and praying more. Adoption was what God was calling us to.

We started the crazy adventure of even starting the process.  We landed on Ethiopia and were in that process for almost two years before the Lord made it clear that Ethiopia would not be an option right now. We were able to switch country programs within our agency (Lifeline Children’s Services) without losing all the fees we’d paid in thankfully. We transferred to the China special needs program and after about a year of paperwork and details we were matched on June 7th 2016 with a little boy named Jeremiah.

In this midst of this crazy process God blessed us with two biological daughters, Sully (2) and Isla (3 months). We are all very excited to bring Jeremiah home as soon as possible!
